Kris Bigalk is a poet and writing professor. Her first full-length collection of poetry, Repeat the Flesh in Numbers, was released from New York Quarterly Books in February 2012.

Professor
As the Director of Creative Writing at Normandale Community College, Kris designed and initiated a successful AFA in Creative Writing program and Certificate program. Kris is currently writing a college-level creative writing textbook that will hit the shelves in 2013. She was recognized for her teaching with a 2012 Normandale/Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees Excellence in Teaching Award.
